Derek R. Durbin, Esq.
Attorney Derek Durbin graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Following this, he obtained his Juris Doctorate degree and a Master’s of Studies in Environmental Law degree from Vermont Law School in 2005.
Prior to founding Durbin Law Offices PLLC in 2009, Attorney Durbin worked at the law firm of McConnell Valdes in San Juan, Puerto Rico (2005-2005) and at the New Hampshire Lakes Association (2006-2008), primarily focused in the areas of environmental and land use law.
Attorney Durbin is licensed to practice in the New Hampshire State and Federal District Court. He is also licensed to practice law in the State of Massachusetts. The primary focus of his law practice is in the areas of real estate, land use, municipal and environmental law.
In addition to holding the above licenses, Attorney Durbin also holds a real estate principal broker’s license and a producer’s license, as a title agent, in the State of New Hampshire. He is co-owner of Catalina Closing & Settlement Services, LLC, a real estate title and closing company located in Epping and Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
Attorney Durbin served on the Portsmouth Zoning Board of Adjustment from 2007 – 2015 and is a past board member of the NH Coastal Protection Partnership, NH Surfrider Foundation and the Portsmouth Share Fund. He also served as an honorary board member of the Granite State Brewers Association.
When not practicing law, Attorney Durbin spends a majority of his time with his wife, Viviana, and two young daughters, Catalina and Dahlia. He is also an avid hiker, snowboarder and surfer who enjoys exploring, traveling and taking advantage of the outdoor recreational opportunities that surround him.
